Creamy Chicken Vegetable Soup Recipe Soothes With a Healthy Secret Ingredient | Soups

When you’re feeling down and need some soothing, nothing is more uplifting than a bowl of chicken soup. Loaded with flavor and nutrition, chicken soup just may be the perfect meal – whether you’re sick or not.

This chicken vegetable soup recipe is even more soothing than most chicken soup recipes because it has a secret ingredient that makes it rich and creamy. That same ingredient also boosts nutrition. What is it? Low-fat plain Greek yogurt. Seriously! Greek yogurt is like sour cream but healthier.

Greek yogurt may contain twice as much protein as regular yogurt and the vitamins, minerals and probiotics in Greek yogurt provide important health benefits. The health benefits of Greek yogurt include that it’s high in potassium, calcium and vitamin B12, which helps keep your blood cells and nerves healthy. Greek yogurt also may help improve heart health and reduce diabetes risk. Plus, it’s got a tangy, sour-creamy taste and texture that adds an unexpected flavor boost.
